The new North and South Concourses of Terminal 3 at Phoenix Sky Harbor's International Airport have modernized the travel experience. We partnered with our client SSP America to design and build the entire food & beverage package for the newly refreshed terminal.

CHRISTOPHER’S

Carefully curated design elements are the focal point for the modern french bistro celebrating the culinary excellence of James Beard Award-Winning, Chef Christopher Gross. Antique zinc ceilings, glass chandeliers and bistro seating upholstered in luxe leathers and velvets transport guests into a unique destination away from the hustle of the surrounding airport concourse.

At the heart of the space lies a center bar showcasing an image of the historic Wrigley Mansion, home to one of Christopher's renowned restaurants. The ambiance is elevated further by an iconic wine wall and modern stone and brass columns, adding tradition with contemporary flair. Curated artwork, thoughtfully selected by our team, adorns the walls, offering a visual touch that complements the culinary delights.

THE TAVERN BY MARK TARBELL

The Tavern by Mark Tarbell is a fun, casual tavern that exudes warmth and charm and offers a retreat for travelers seeking a taste of Phoenix's vibrant culinary scene. Modeled after a cozy wine cave, The Tavern's design embraces a moody and inviting ambiance featuring rich earth tones, stylish furnishings, and carefully curated decor. Partnering with esteemed Iron Chef and Emmy Award-winning Chef Mark Tarbell, we curated a collection of iconic photos and artwork from his personal collection, including an autographed guitar signed by rock & roll legend Alice Cooper. A focal point of The Tavern is its well-appointed bar area, stocked with an impressive selection of wines and craft cocktails. Designed to encourage social interaction, the curved bar beckons travelers to unwind and indulge in signature libations while mingling with fellow patrons. Intimate seating arrangements throughout the tavern offer a cozy retreat for guests to relax and savor the culinary delights. A custom wine retail displayed lounge area provides an opportunity for travelers to explore and purchase wines curated by Chef Mark Tarbell himself.

SOUTH CONCOURSE FOOD HALL

A collection of local Phoenix hotspots - Scramble, AJO AL’s and PHX Beer Company are featured in this fresh food hall experience in the South Concourse at Sky Harbor Airport.  Each space showcases its brand’s personality through bold graphics and architectural design. The core design of the food hall features custom laser-cut screens that are inspired by the patterns in the local desert landscape. Use of color changing lighting that morphs throughout the day ensures a different dining experience throughout the day.
