Set against the picturesque Berkeley Marina, guests are greeted by elegant blue archways, a unique and inviting bar, and a variety of seating options. The signature blue accents, nautical details, and stunning marina views create a lasting impression and plentiful social media moments. The combination of mixed materials, white washed walls, and nostalgic artwork evokes the feeling of a traditional boathouse on the water, offering a unique and unforgettable experience.
THE APPROACH
The overarching concept was created by our interiors and graphics teams to revolve around capturing new branding and an atmosphere that reflects a local boathouse retreat. We wanted to incorporate natural light, neutral tones, and modern accents reflective of the Berkeley community. Our goal was to create a harmonious blend between the interior and the picturesque views, ensuring that each guest feels connected to the marina's inherent beauty.

Embodying the serene essence of coastal dining, The Berkeley Boathouse branding showcases a modern aesthetic with a custom 'B' at its heart, reminiscent of the arches featured throughout the hotel architecture. Bathed in shades of blue, the matching collateral evokes the tranquil allure of seaside landscapes, promising a culinary journey that harmonizes with the natural beauty of our surroundings.
LOBBY & MARKET
The reimagined lobby area was designed to enhance the guest experience through the use of comfortable seating and a local marketplace vibe. From the moment you step into the refreshed lobby + market, you'll be greeted by a welcoming ambiance that invites relaxation and exploration. With a fresh color palette inspired by the tranquil waters of the marina and furnishings reminiscent of a nautical retreat, every corner tells a story of coastal sophistication.
