Set in downtown Salt Lake City's Post District, Sunday's Best brings its brunch-loving spirit to a two-level flagship: an all-day brunch room downstairs and Sunday School, a rooftop day club, above. Drawing on old-world cathedrals and tropical art deco glamour, the result is less "regular dining experience" and more "chapel devoted to brunch": sophisticated, a little irreverent, and made for a moment of ceremony.
OUR APPROACH
Art deco detailing runs through every fixture — from the sculptural brass chandeliers to the fluted wall sconces — giving the space a sense of glamour usually reserved for evening service. Deep jewel-toned velvet booths and warm wood tones add richness underfoot and at eye level, while tall windows flood the room with natural light. Tropical wall-coverings and playful signage moments throughout the space keep the mood from feeling too precious — the result is a room that feels indulgent and a little celebratory. It's a project that reflects Hale Collective's approach at every scale: elevated, detail-driven design that makes the everyday feel a little more special.

BRUNCH ME HARD
Brunch isn't just a meal, it's a whole vibe. Our challenge was to bring that energy to a large downtown stage. The result makes every day feel like Sunday.
THE TERRACE
Floor-to-ceiling glass blurs indoors and out, while botanical wallpaper of palm fronds and orchids climbs from wall to ceiling. Gilded palm-leaf chandeliers, a brass grid wall, and arched mirrors nod to a greenhouse. Emerald and teal velvet banquettes and a sage-and-cream hex tile floor complete the room. It's less a patio than a permanent bloom.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Named by Hale Collective, Sunday School is a chapel in the sky: a rooftop champagne lounge and day club with a personality all its own, separate from the brunch experience below. Inspired by historic cathedrals and reimagined with a wink, it has Gothic arches framing gilded sconces and an etched-gold mirror, a DJ booth standing in for the pulpit, and velvet booths tucked into nooks like side chapels. Blush, magenta, and burgundy glow against exposed beams, with skyline and mountain views beyond. Part sanctuary, part hideaway, and a little wicked.
