Sunday's Best brings a dose of reverence, and a nod to Salt Lake City International Airport's new Sundays Best location. The design draws on ecclesiastical architecture and tropical art deco glamour in equal measure: gothic arches stand in for stained glass, a gilded chandelier hovers like a halo, and a sunburst medallion anchors the bar like an altarpiece. The result is less "regular dining experience" and more "chapel devoted to brunch"; sophisticated, a little irreverent, and built for patrons who want a moment of ceremony before they start their day. Every material choice, from the tile to the millwork, was made to hold up to volume without losing the sense of occasion.
OUR APPROACH
Art deco detailing runs through every fixture — from the sculptural brass chandeliers to the fluted wall sconces — giving the space a sense of glamour usually reserved for evening service. Deep jewel-toned velvet booths and warm wood tones add richness underfoot and at eye level, while tall windows flood the room with natural light. Tropical wall-coverings and playful signage moments throughout the space keep the mood from feeling too precious — the result is a room that feels indulgent and a little celebratory. It's a project that reflects Hale Collective's approach at every scale: elevated, detail-driven design that makes the everyday feel a little more special.

Sunday's Best proves that great hospitality design comes down to the details — the ones you notice and the ones you just feel. By pairing art deco glamour with tropical warmth and moments of playful signage, the design turns a simple meal into an occasion.
THE TERRACE
Floor-to-ceiling glass blurs the line between indoors and out, but it's the botanical wallpaper — palm fronds and orchid blooms climbing from wall to ceiling — that turns the room into a garden of its own making. Gilded palm-leaf chandeliers cascade from above like fronds catching the light, while a brass grid wall and a run of arched mirrors nod to a greenhouse without fully committing to one. Jewel-toned velvet banquettes in emerald and teal anchor the room against a mix of chairs — quilted cream, dusty rose, deep burgundy. Underfoot, a hexagon tile floor in soft sage and cream ties it all together. It's less a patio than a permanent bloom: unmistakably indoors, unmistakably alive.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Upstairs, the glamour turns up a notch. Gothic arches show up everywhere — doorways, gilded wall sconces, an antique mirror etched with gold — framing a palette of blush pink, magenta, and burgundy against warm exposed beams. A brass chandelier fans out overhead like a burst of wheat catching the last of the sunset, while deep-channeled velvet booths tuck into private nooks. Sage-green chairs and a rust velvet sofa loosen things up around a weathered floor mirror, and a striped bar with brushed-brass trim carries the glow toward floor-to-ceiling windows and the skyline beyond. It's part chapel, part hideaway — never quite letting you forget you're somewhere a little wicked.
