Wander Kitchen & Bar has been brought to life by celebrated Canadian chef and Top Chef Canada: All Stars winner Nicole Gomes. While Gomes grew up in Vancouver, Calgary is where her culinary career took off, with stints at celebrated restaurants, such as the now-closed Catch and Mercato Mission, before opening popular fried chicken spot Cluck N’ Cleaver with her sister.

With its plush furniture, gold accents and tropical touches, the interior of Sunday’s Best is an Instagram-friendly paradise. The second floor is a rooftop Champagne and cocktail lounge called Sunday School, which was “thoughtfully designed to make you feel like you’re stepping into sunshine,” owner Michael McHenry said in a May news release.

Tacos Chiwas, a beloved Arizona-based, family-owned restaurant, has opened a new location at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), in Terminal 4 near Gate B5. Operated by SSP America, the eatery brings the bold, authentic flavors of northwestern Mexico—specifically the founders' home state of Chihuahua—to travelers. The opening is celebrated as a win for local culture and passenger experience, offering a taste of Phoenix’s rich culinary scene to a global audience.
